Hyperbolic Tangent

The hyperbolic tangent activation function is a trigonometric function that is often abbreviated tanh(x). As x increases, tanh(x) gets closer and closer to 1. At zero, tanh(x) is zero too. As x gets more negative, tanh(x) gets closer and closer to -1.
